A racer himself for over three decades, Don Guilbeault grew up within earshot of famed Hudson Speedway.  Don got his start in motorsports turning wrenches for the Dion brothers in the Nascar Busch Series.  After 14 years as a mechanic for select Nascar teams, Don left the garage and  found himself focusing on his family and his own business ventures.   As his sons came of age to race, DRT was born into the vast world

of karting in North America.

 

His youngest son, Tyler,  captured two national road race championships early in his years as a driver.  The team then set off to compete in regional and national sprint racing championships in the US.  Partnering with Danilo Rossi (5x world champion) and DR Racing Kart, the team would now have the equipment to match their competence in the most  competitive motorsport category in the world.  Throughout the years to follow, with the help of DR, NEK composites, and Modena Engines,  DRT would make a dominant name for themselves among the best in the world.  Conquering events at every level, including SKUSA Pro Tour championships, Rock Grand Prix,  and the famed Supernationals, DRT would continue to show that they belonged at the top level of karting.
